Dinner Buffet
The dinner buffet is perhaps the most practical and congenial way in which to care for your guests. It can be either country casual or very formal, as you wish. It provides a more relaxed method of dining, but also provides for you a more varied menu format than a plated, full service meal.
In developing a buffet which closely matches your requirements for quality, menu, and cost, we have devised the following categories to help you to choose the price and service needs which suit you the best.
Please note that the cost of the service style must be added to the cost of the buffet entree category. You will be charged the appropriate service style charge, per place setting, for the actual number of seats you have set; at or beyond your actual guarantee.
Each service style includes the labor for the set-up (not including tables and chairs) and service of your meal, linen tablecloths in colors and sizes as available through Mission Linen Co., (except for Supreme Service) and white table skirting for your head table, buffets, dessert table, beverage table, and gift table (if needed). Please remember that nothing is cast in cement. Mixing and matching of service style makeup, buffet format, or entree categories is perfectly allowable. Just let us know what it is that you would like to do and we’ll be happy to price it for you.
How to plan and select your buffet:
- Select the service style you desire.
- Below you will find information regarding what goes with each type of buffet. Look to the top of each section and select the info that matches your choice of service style. Before you make your selections of salads, etc., we recommend that you go on to the next step and select your entrees first.
- Now look to the entree choices for all buffets. As you can see, the sections are listed A - D with prices appropriate to each level. Section A is comprised of your least expensive entrees up through Section D, which contains your most expensive and elaborate entrees. You are entitled to select two entrees from a given section for your buffet. Should you desire, you may select your entrees from two different sections. In those instances, we will consider the entrees and meld a price somewhere in between.
- Do you need for us to set-up and breakdown the tables and chairs for your event? If so, please add a charge of $2.00 per person. A chair switch from wedding to reception site? Add an additional $.50 per person.
- To figure your costs, you will need to add the cost of your service style to the cost of your entree section. Then add any set-up charges. You then must multiply that total by 18% service charge and then the entire total by 7.75% sales tax. This will give you the cost per person for your event minus any additional charges such as travel time, difficult site, etc. which have been discussed with you regarding your site.
